Our Sunday School and Jr. Church hours are specifically designed to minister to children
4 years old through 5th Grade.  The goal and purpose of our ministry is to teach them:

God's abundant love, forgiveness and mercy
Truths from the Bible
God-honoring attitudes and actions
Songs of worship and praise
and how to apply these things in their lives every day.

If you would like to be a part of this rewarding ministry, please contact Debbie Bissonnett.

SHOULD PARENTS FORCE THEIR KIDS TO GO TO CHURCH?

There are many reasons to answer YES to this question.  I can give you one:

It is the parent’s responsibility!

We must provide for each of our children’s needs, and that includes their spiritual needs. Church attendance provides an opportunity for spiritual growth and exposure to the Gospel.

As a parent you would not let your child stay home from school because you know the importance of an education. It is just as important to make sure that your child is present in church.

Parenting is about training and preparing our children for the time when they are mature enough to begin making their own life choices. All parents will eventually have to relinquish their authority over a child’s religious practice.

When is the proper time? As the parent, you will have to decide that.

Being raised in a Christian home, I couldn’t imagine life without church. Church was not optional in our family. It was just something we did together.

I also raised my children around church. In the end, children belong to God and it is up to Him to change their hearts. As parents, we must do the best we can to provide the most opportunities for that to happen.

Should you as a parent force your children to go to church?

My answer as a parent is: YES! I am very thankful that I was raised in a Christian home.

Thanks Dad and Mom!

TCBT's Nursery

Nursery Coordinator:  Paula Smith

TCBT's Nursery Department includes the Babies, Ones, Twos and Threes.  Our ministry is to show each little girl and boy the love of Jesus from the day they are born.  As they begin to grow, we sing "The B-I-B-L-E" and other Sunday School songs, read them short stories from the Bible and teach them about missionaries and how to pray.

If you would like to be a part of this rewarding ministry, please contact Paula Smith.
